OAI-SearchBot is OpenAI's user agent for ChatGPT Search — the live web-browsing feature of ChatGPT. It indexes pages that ChatGPT can cite in real-time answers, distinct from GPTBot which is used for model training.

Allowing OAI-SearchBot in your robots.txt is essential for ChatGPT citation visibility. You can block GPTBot while still allowing OAI-SearchBot if you want to prevent training-data use but remain in live search results.
